Wednesday, a person was run over and killed on Jordan Street in Amman.

The Highway Patrol Department told Amen FM Thursday that the driver has been detained for the necessary measures to be taken.

Traffic officers have been deployed to various streets across the Kingdom to take action if traffic accidents occur in order to ensure traffic continues to run smoothly, the spokesperson said.

Citizens and residents were advised to drive with caution and adhere to traffic laws, signs and instructions for their safety.
