Wednesday, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) closed the lane designated for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) due to the accumulation of snow and risk of skidding on icy roads, as reported by Roya's correspondent.

He said that BRT workers are on standby until the lane reopens to resume operating and transporting citizens, adding that it is unknown how long it will take to reopen the path.

The Director of Road Maintenance at the GAM Walid Al-Amoush confirmed that most secondary roads in the capital are passable, and that their staff is continuouly working on reopening roads that have been closed off by the snow.
