Taiwan's capital city Taipei projects the words "Pray for Turkiye" on the exterior of City Hall and its iconic Taipei 101 Building to show solidarity with the people of Turkey after a deadly 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country on Monday.

Taiwan has sent more than a hundred rescue personnel to Turkey to help in the search and rescue efforts and pledged USD 2 million in donations.

Officially, the death toll from the deadly earthquake now stands at 7,800, according to AFP.
