Tuesday, His Majesty King Abdullah II made a phone call to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, in which he expressed his condolences to the Syrian people for the earthquake victims and sincere sympathy to their families, wishing those who were injured a speedy recovery.

According to what was reported by the Syrian News Agency SANA, His Majesty expressed Jordan's solidarity and support with the Syrian people during this difficult time.

For his part, President Assad praised the stance of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in support of the Syrian people.
