The Highway Patrol Department called on drivers to be careful on Desert Highway, as visibility is expected to be compromised at times due to the current weather conditions.

The department noted that Al-Amriyah-Sawaqa area on Desert Highway is witnessing strong winds and compromized visibility due to dust, which could be limited to 50 meters.

Traffic and security officers have been dispatched to various locations across the Kingdom to ensure people's safety, as well as provide the necessary guidance and assistance.

This comes as Jordan is witnessing a fourth-degree air depression, which will last for several days.

Earlier, the Ministry of Local Administration declared a maximum-level state of emergency across the Kingdom.

Notably, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) Monday temporarily cut off traffic on Desert road, due to dust compromising visibility.

The PSD warned of flooding forming in valleys and low-lying areas, especially in some southern and eastern regions.
