Early Monday morning, three Palestinians were injured after getting shot by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, near Jericho in the Occupied West Bank, as reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

According to sources, heavily-armed IOF soldiers opened fire at the young Palestinian men, injuring six.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its medics provided treatment to three Palestinians, including one who is in critical health condition.

PRCS added that the IOF hindered the work of medics and targetted one of its ambulances in an attempt to prevent it from entering the camp.

The IOF also raided several houses in the camp and detained a number of Palestinians.

Notably, no injuries were reported among IOF soldiers, WAFA noted.

The IOF has tightened security measures around Jericho in recent days in hunt for a Palestinian accused of carrying out a shooting attack in a restaurant in the Israeli Occupation.
