A group of drug dealers were arrested in Amman, with 68 slabs of hashish and 13,000 narcotic pills seized.

The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that workers in the Anti-Narcotics Department were able, after days of intelligence and operational efforts, to entrap a group of drug dealers.

He added that as the dealers were getting ready to sell a large amount of drugs, they were raided and three of them were arrested after one of them attempted to open fire at the authorities but he was controlled and arrested with 21 slabs of hashish and 5,000 pills.

The police later found 47 slabs of hashish and 8,000 narcotic pills in the drug den.
