The Arabia Weather forecasting site said that Jordan is witnessing strong westerly to southwesterly winds, with intermittent strong gusts, leading to the formation of dust waves in the southeast of the Kingdom and a decrease in visibility.

Some of the gusts have speeds approaching 90 km per hour, Arabia Weather warned.

The website called for drivers to exercise caution while driving on desert roads, given the lack of visibility, and for operators of heavy trucks to ensure that objects are fixed in place.
