Doha will host the forty-second session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs meeting Wednesday, which will go on for two days.
The meeting agenda includes discussions about family and childhood issues, the rights of people with disabilities and the eradication of "multidimensional poverty" in Arab countries.
Attendants will also talk about issues related to the elderly, different aspects of protection and social care, social work standards and workers, as well as the upcoming programs of the Arab Fund for Social Action.
The meeting will also look into the work plan of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, including a wide range of proposed activities and studies.
The ministerial meeting was preceded by a preparatory meeting for senior officials, during which Qatar was assigned to host the forty-second session of the Council.
