A six-year-old girl drowned Thursday in the King Abdullah Canal in the Central Jordan Valley.

The director of Princess Iman Governmental Hospital, Muhammad Abu Hudaib, said that the civil defense personnel tried to resuscitate but she passed away before arriving at the hospital, according to the Jordanian news agency, Petra.
