A woman in her thirties was killed by her husband on Wednesday morning after he opened fire at her with a pump action firearm in their home in Karak Governorate, according to a security source.

The source told Roya that the husband committed his crime due to family disputes.

The assailant then surrendered himself and his weapon to the police, and investigations were launched.

For his part, the director of forensic medicine in the southern region at Karak Hospital, Hassan al-Hawari, confirmed after autopsy that the cause of death was due to hemorrhaging, as a result of lacerations to the neck and chest, as her body was hit by two projectiles, which came from a pump action firearm.
