Jordanian ambassador to Tel Aviv Ghassan Majali entered Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday evening, according to Roya's correspondent.

This came after the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) prevented him earlier from entering the mosque.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates had summoned the Israeli ambassador to Amman Tuesday following the incident.

The official spokesperson for the ministry ambassador Sinan Majali stated that the Israeli ambassador had been informed of a strongly worded letter of protest to be conveyed immediately to his government.
