The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates summoned the Israeli ambassador to Amman Tuesday following the prevention of the Jordanian ambassador from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The official spokesperson for the ministry ambassador Sinan Majali stated that the Israeli ambassador had been informed of a strongly worded letter of protest to be conveyed immediately to his government.
Earlier Tuesday, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) prevented the Jordanian ambassador to Tel Aviv Ghassan Majali from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to Roya's correspondent in Palestine.
The IOF asked the ambassador to leave the site inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque near the Asbat Gate.
They said Majali should have obtained prior permission to visit the mosque.
