The Ras al Naqab area, in the south of Jordan, witnessed Monday morning a limited accumulation of snow.

The Highway Patrol Department confirmed that all roads are open and clear, calling on citizens to follow safety measures in light of the prevailing weather conditions, and not hesitate to call 911 in emergency cases.

Earlier, Arabia Weather said that Jordan is expected to be affected by unstable weather conditions in the early hours of Monday morning.

Rain is expected in the southern regions of the Kingdom, including the southern valleys, Wadi Araba, Aqaba, and parts of the southern Badia. These showers may be heavy in some areas and accompanied by hail and thunder at times. Notably, rain is also expected in the north and central parts of the Kingdom.

The Kingdom will be hit with unstable wind activity originating from the Red Sea depression coming from Saudi Arabia, in addition to a very cold air mass located in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Fog is expected to start forming in the late hours of Sunday night and early hours of Monday morning in the desert and southern regions.
