The father of the Jordanian student, who has been missing in the UK for 17 days, said that the last time they spoke to Ahmed was when he called them on December 22, approximately one week before going missing.

Nidal Dabour told Roya Saturday that his son does not suffer from any health or psychological issues. He added that he is still a university student, pursuing a degree in Computer Science in Essex. He confirmed that the British authorities' search mission is ongoing to find Ahmed.

Notably, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a statement Friday about the incident and said that the ministry is following up on the case through the Embassy of Jordan in London. The ministry noted that as soon as their staff received the news, they informed the relevant British authorities and maintained contact with them on a daily basis ever since. The Jordanian embassy is communicating with the Essex County Police and Ahmed's family to find him and ensure his safety.
