Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia announced Thursday that women are now allowed to register for Hajj without a male companion 'Mahram.'

On Twitter, the ministry said that those wishing to perform Hajj rituals from inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the current year (1444 AH), can register through the “Nusk” application.

Notably, the ministry announced that the minimum age for the application is 12. Priority will be given to applicants who have not performed Hajj in the past.
