Jordan Seismological Observatory of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded Thursday an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale on the eastern coast of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The director of the observatory, Ghassan Sweidan, said that the earthquake, which was considered a moderate one, was recorded at 5:57 pm Amman time and occurred at a depth of 15 kilometers.
