Thursday marked the fourth consecutive day Jewish extremist settlers continued their incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of Hanukkah.

The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf said, in a statement that several groups of extremist settlers stormed Al-Aqsa from the Mughrabi Gate, performed prayers in the mosque and at the Chain Gate.

The statement added that this was done under heavy protection from the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).

The IOF imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinians to the mosque, and prohibited the entry of Al-Aqsa guard, Mahmoud Abu Kharoub, to the mosque's courtyards for a week.
