Saturday, the West Java province of Indonesia was hit by a 6.4-magnitude earthquake, at a depth of 118 kilometers, and residents of the capital, Jakarta, felt its impact.
The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency said that it is unlikely that the earthquake would result in a tsunami. No injuries were reported.
Notably, a 5.6-magnitude earthquake rocked Cianjur district in West Java last month, killing more than 300 people.
