Donald Trump announced his candidacy for President of the United States, AFP reported Tuesday.

"In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for President of the United States," he said.

Trump filed his official candidacy papers with the US election authority moments before publicly announcing his candidacy from his palatial Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.
