On Saturday, the Grand Criminal Court sentenced a 20-year-old bus driver to six-year imprisonment for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl twice in Irbid.

The accused’s acts were exposed after he threatened the 16-year-old victim and told her he was going to leak private photos of her, which he somehow acquired, if she did not give him some of the gold belonging to her mother. This prompted the girl to steal it from her mother and give it to him.

When the mother noticed that some of her gold was missing, she asked the girl about it. The girl then told the mother about what had happened, and that she was sexually assaulted by the accused.

The court decided to incriminate the accused of indecent assault with 1 / 298 penalties, put him in temporary labor for six years, and include all expenses.
