Former US President Donald Trump said on Friday he was pleased that Twitter was now "in sane hands," after it was formally acquired by the American billionaire Elon Musk.

Trump said he believes his own Truth Social media platform “looks and works better” and that it has become “somewhat of a phenomena” as it had “bigger numbers than all other platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and the rest.”

However, Trump did not say whether he will be returning to Twitter that banned him after the attack on the Capitol.
