Iran's President Ebrahim Raissi accused the United States of "wasting time" instead of making a decision to revive the 2015 nuclear deal in negotiations between Tehran and major powers, AFP reported Tuesday.

"During the negotiations, Iran has expressed its position with logic and reasoning. Today, it is the Americans who have to make a decision, but they are delaying and wasting time," he said.

"We are determined to pursue the rights of the Iranian people. The Islamic republic wants to obtain the lifting of the sanctions, but at the same time, it also has the neutralisation of the sanctions on its agenda."
