Friday, Robbie Coltrane, the actor who played Hagrid in the Harry Potter films, died at 72, according to the BBC.

Coltrane passed away inside a hospital near his house in Larbert, Scotland after his health continued to decline for the past two years.

The award-winning actor is most famously known for his beloved role, Hagrid, in the Harry Potter series, but he also worked in several other blockbuster movies such as James Bond and Ocean’s 12.
