Adviser to the Prime Minister for Health Affairs and the head of the coronavirus file in Jordan, Dr. Adel Al-Belbisi, announced that Jordan will no longer issue a weekly COVID-19 report.

Belbisi told Roya Saturday that the decision came after the noticeable decrease in the number of deaths and cases in the past period.

He added that Jordan is witnessing an improvement in the epidemiological situation, stressing that in case the numbers of cases and deaths increase, then a report will be issued.

Belbisi called on citizens to be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to alleviate its symptoms in case of an infection, especially for those who suffer from chronic diseases and the elderly.
