Jordan confirms six deaths and 1,965 coronavirus cases in one week

Jordan recorded six deaths and 1,965 new coronavirus cases in one week (from Sept. 17 until Sept. 23), according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.

The total death toll reached 14,122.

The cases are:

-908 in Amman

-346 in Irbid

-192 in Balqa

-189 in Zarqa

-73 in Madaba

-68 in Ajloun

-58 in Karak

-39 in Ramtha

-28 in Tafilah

-18 in Jerash 

-18 in Mafraq

-17 in Aqaba

-Nine in Ma'an 

-Four in Petra

A total of 68 cases have been admitted to the hospitals in one week, and 79 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 40 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 1,868 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 13,415 PCR tests were conducted in one week.

The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 14.65 percent.
