Jordan has been witnessing an unprecedented increase in crimes related to the possession and abuse of drugs during the past 10 years, criminology professor Khawla Al-Hassan told Roya Friday.

Hassan added that around every 27 minutes, a drug crime occurs in Jordan.

She indicated that drug abuse among juveniles has increased by 300 percent during the last period.

Notably, a drug-related crime is a crime to use, possess, manufacture, or distribute drugs.
