Thursday, 34 people drowned off the Syrian coast days after their boat set sail from northern Lebanon.
The bodies were found by the Syrian authorities off the coastal city of Tartus in the northwest of the country, while search continues for possible survivors, reported the Syrian Ministry of Health.
The boat set out from Lebanon with the intention of emigrating several days ago, as it was carrying passengers of different nationalities, and it is not clear how many passengers were on the boat has so far.
