The director of the National Center for Forensic Medicine Raed Al-Momani said Thursday that the center received nine bodies following the collapse of a building in Al-Weibdeh area.

Momani told Roya that initial indications show that the cause of the deaths was injuries and suffocation, explaining that an autopsy has not been performed yet.

He noted that all the deceased were identified and some of the bodies were handed over to their families.

Momani denied the death of an Egyptian worker in the incident. However, he said that a six-month-old Egyptian girl, whose mother is Jordanian, died in the collapse.

A total of 10 people died following the collapse of the building.
