A Palestinian bride was arrested by the Israeli Occupation police on her wedding day in Arraba town near Jenin. Police arrested her as they raided the area in search of her groom.

Local media reported that the police detained her instead of her groom as he had an order that was imposed on him to remain out of the city.

However, the authorities issued no comments regarding the arrest or its reasons.

Videos of the bride in her wedding dress being escorted by the police into a vehicle went viral on social media.

Clashes erupted between the police and young people in the area, where the police used tear gas canisters to disperse the crowd.
