Almost six months after the launch of the Kremlin's special military operation in Ukraine, Russians expressed their support for it at the ongoing military forum "Army 2022" near Moscow, which aims to promote the Russian arms industry.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin had praised Russian-made weapons to his foreign allies, saying they have proven themselves on the battlefield in the midst of the military operation in Ukraine, AFP reported.

In televised remarks at the opening ceremony of a military forum just outside Moscow, Putin also praised Moscow's allies as the country finds itself increasingly isolated since the start of the military operation.

Putin said, "Today, in the course of a special military operation, our soldiers are fulfilling their duty with honor, fighting for Russia and for a peaceful life in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, clearly fulfilling all the tasks - they are liberating the land of Donbas step by step."

"I would like to once again thank Russian armorers for equipping the army and navy with modern weapons, which are now working for victory, for the technological and industrial development of the whole country, of all Russia."
