Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas Saturday demanded the release of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli Occupation prisons.

Abbas said in his statements: "We must continue to demand a solution to the Palestinian refugee issue, and the release of all brave prisoners."

The number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in the occupation prisons is about 4550, including 27 female prisoners, 175 minors, and 670 administrative detainees (without trial or charge).

He added: "I recommend to our Palestinian people, in all their places, to persevere and be patient, to continue the march and to be steadfast on the ground."

He pledged not to leave Palestine, saying: "We will not leave our country, whatever the circumstances."

He continued, "(We will remain) steadfast on our land and the land of our ancestors, demanding our national rights in our state, our Christian and Islamic holy sites, and our capital, East Jerusalem."

Abbas's statements come at a time when Palestine is making efforts with international and international bodies to save the two-state solution.
