Al-Shbul: The government has a plan to respond to climate change

Minister of State for Media Affairs and government spokesman, Faisal Shboul, said that Jordan has a plan to respond to climate change and reduce emissions by 31 percent by 2030.

Al-Shboul added that the plan is according to international efforts, and that Jordan is part of the international coalition to reduce climate change, consisting of 190 countries.

In statements to Sky News Arabia, Shboul expressed his hope that the international community would fulfill its obligations in the face of climate change, in light of the fact that the international community bore 23 percent of the response to the Syrian refugee crisis last year, while Jordan bore 77 percent of the burden of asylum.
