Saturday evening, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) decided to close all its facilities to the public until further notice, with the exception of the 22 health centers in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement received, the agency said: “From 7 August, until further notice, all UNRWA facilities will be closed to the public except for the 22 health centers, where the centers will open their doors at normal working hours, starting at 8:30 am but it will be limited to providing only basic services including: dispensing medicines for patients with chronic diseases, high-risk pregnancies (and non-risk cases will be followed up by phone), all postpartum cases, vaccinations for children, acute dental pain cases and emergency laboratory services.”

She added, "The beneficiaries are advised to use the telemedicine service, which they can access through the toll-free number: 1800444666."

And she indicated the continuation of environmental health work and the operation of water wells without interruption as long as the situation permits, stressing that to obtain social support services, please contact through helplines, and that social support services for families and cases of violence, abuse and neglect will be available from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30 in the morning - 15:00 pm.
