Jordan confirms nine deaths and 5,417 coronavirus cases in one week

Jordan recorded nine deaths and 5,417 new coronavirus cases in one week (from July 23 until July 29), bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,715,296, according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.

The total death toll reached 14,083.

The number of cases witnessed an increase of around 14 percent in comparison to the 4,763 cases which were recorded last week.

There are 56 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 4,539 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 36,256 PCR tests were conducted in one week.

The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 14.8 percent.
