A woman was arrested for killing her two children, aged six and eight, after her husband reported the crime to the police on Friday in Amman, according to the spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate.

The mother had strangled the boy and girl but no further details were given.

The spokesperson added that the bodies were taken to the forensic medicine department and an investigation was opened.
