The National Center for Security and Crisis Management warned of the hot air mass expected to affect Jordan on Thursday.

The center said that a rise in temperatures is expected to affect all areas in Jordan, especially on Friday.

The center called for avoiding direct exposure to the sun's rays during the afternoon.

The Highway Patrol Department also called on drivers not to leave flammable materials inside their vehicles during the hot weather, and not to be exposed to the sun for long periods of time, or to leave children inside the vehicle, even for a short period.

Additionally, the department reminded of the importance of drinking plenty of water as well as stopping to take a break when one feels tired while driving.
