A woman in her forties was charged with premeditated murder after stabbing her neighbor in Jabal Al Hussein area in Amman, the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court Judge Hussein Al-Khalaileh announced Monday.

A source close to the case said the perpetrator was detained for 15 days pending investigations at the Juweideh Reform and Rehabilitation Center For Women.

According to the source, the victim died before the Civil Defense teams were able to revive him. He was stabbed in the heart.

The Public Prosecutor ordered the transfer of the body to the National Center for Forensic Medicine for an autopsy to be carried out.

The source confirmed that the motive for the crime is still unknown.
