An unlicensed sweets factory was shut down in Russaifa Saturday for not complying with public safety conditions and health protocols.

The mayor of Russaifa Shadi Al-Zinati said that the owner of the factory violated the conditions of food production and posed a threat to public health.

Those involved were referred to competent authorities to take legal action against them.
