The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its deepest condolences to the United States of America for the victims of the shooting incident at the Independence Day parade in Illinois, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.

The official spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, affirmed the Kingdom's solidarity and sympathy with the government and people of the US, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Six people were left dead and dozens were injured at a US Independence Day parade in a wealthy Chicago suburb.
