Jordan confirms zero deaths and 1,329 new coronavirus cases in one week

Jordan recorded zero deaths and 1,329 new coronavirus cases in one week (from June 25 until July 1), bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,700,526, according to the weekly COVID-19 statistical report issued by the Ministry of Health every Sunday.

The total death toll stands at 14,068.

The number of cases witnessed an increase of around 51 percent in comparison to the 881 cases which were recorded last week.

The cases are:

-1,117 in Amman

-84 in Irbid

-42 in Zarqa

-26 in Balqa

-25 in Ramtha

-12 in Jerash

-11 in Madaba 

-Eight in Ajloun

-Two in Aqaba

-One in Petra 

-One in Mafraq

There are 10 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 703 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 22,514 PCR tests were conducted in one week.

The weekly positive PCR test rate reached 5.90 percent.
