Saturday, a 16-year-old boy drowned in the King Abdullah Canal in the northern Jordan Valley.

The boy was pulled out and taken to the hospital by the civil defense cadres, but he died before arriving at the hospital, according to the Director of Moath bin Jabal Hospital Ihsan Matalqa.

The body was transferred to the Forensic Medical Center of the Northern Region to determine the cause of death.
