Tuesday, Egyptian Mansoura Criminal Court, in the second trial session decided to send the case of the person accused of slaughtering a young woman for rejecting him, to the Mufti to take his opinion on sentencing the accused to death for premeditated murder.

The court set July 6 as the date for the verdict.

The case sparked widespread rage after a video went viral of him stabbing her in the chest, then slitting her throat in the middle of a public street in front of their university.

At the Mansoura Criminal Court, Mohamed Adel was accused of "premeditated murder," after confessing to intentionally killing the victim.
