The Lebanese Prime Minister-designate, Najib Mikati, expressed his sadness over the gas leak incident in the Jordanian port of Aqaba, which led to a number of deaths and dozens of injuries.
Mikati said: "We express our solidarity with Jordan, the King, government and people in this painful affliction, and we offer our condolences to the families of the victims, as well as wishing recovery to the wounded."
Mikati called Jordanian Prime Minister Bishr Khasawneh, condoling the victims and expressing "Lebanon's solidarity with Jordan in this painful incident."
