Wednesday, the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that the Criminal Investigation Unit arrested two individuals from an African country, after receiving information regarding them committing fraud using new methods.

The spokesperson added that the two individuals were committing money fraud by using social media to advertise products from companies outside Jordan for cheap prices. When they receive the money for those products they deactivate the accounts and create new ones to do it all over again.

The spokesperson called on everyone to not deal with suspicious websites and accounts who advertise products for cheap prices, and to not send them any amount of money.
