Adviser to the Cabinet of Ministers for Health Affairs Adel Belbisi said Wednesday that Jordan has begun taking measures at air and sea border crossings to detect monkeypox infections.

Belbisi told Roya that in the event of a suspected case coming to Jordan, a PCR test will be conducted at a health center located at the border crossing. If the person appears to be infected with monkeypox, they will be quarantined in designated hospitals. The result of the PCR test usually comes out within eight hours.
