Monday, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Anas Al-Qatatsheh, said that the ministry worked on developing a response plan to detect any infection with Monkeypox.

Qatatsheh added that all hospitals, centers and directorates affiliated with the Ministry of Health have been made aware of the need to pay attention if symptoms of infection appear on any patient, and to apply the health protocol, which includes isolating the patient and reporting the infection.

In an interview with Roya, Qatatsheh confirmed that considering the disease is “viral,” a classification was made that includes the following:

• Possible infection
• Suspected infection 
• Confirmed (once a test confirms the infection)
