An emergency meeting was held Saturday in the Ministry of Health, headed by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care and Epidemiology, Dr. Raed Al-Shboul, and in the presence of his kind advisor, the Prime Minister, Dr. Adel Al-Balbisi, Director of Epidemiology and Director of Communicable Diseases in the Ministry of Health, to discuss the current situation regarding monkeypox.

A national plan was made, and a mechanism was identified to investigate and instruct to activate it and to report any suspicious cases at all border crossings and all other medical sectors.
