The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned Monday the Israeli Occupation Forces' attack on the funeral of Walid Sharif, the Palestinian man who was killed by the Israeli Occupation in occupied Jerusalem. The IOF attacked the mourners during the funeral.

The official spokesperson for the ministry, Haitham Abu Al-Foul, said that these actions are a violation of the sanctity of the cemetery and is an inhumane behavior which is condemned and rejected, stressing the need for the Israeli Occupation to respect its obligations under international humanitarian law as the occupying power in East Jerusalem.

Abu Al-Foul stressed that the Israeli occupation must stop these provocative practices and stop all violations against Palestinians.

Saturday, Walid Sharif, 23, from Beit Hanina, died as a result of injuries he sustained inside Al-Aqsa Mosque on the third Friday of Ramadan.
