One person was killed and four were seriously injured in a California church shooting, reported AFP.

The authorities announced on Sunday its response to a shooting that led to "a number of victims" in a church near Los Angeles.

This shooting came a day after 10 people were killed in another shooting inside a supermarket in New York.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department wrote on Twitter that deputies were “responding to reports of a shooting at a church” adding that “four victims have been critically wounded, one with minor injuries.”

The tweets added that “all victims are adults and are enroute to the hospital. One victim is deceased at the scene.”

The department announced that a man suspected in Laguna Woods church shooting was arrested.
